THE TYPE OF FELLOWSHIP WE WISH TO DEVELOP The church of Jesus Christ is described in scripture as a Body, a house, a temple, a building and a family. All of these words speak of a related Body of Believers, joined together spirit to spirit by the Holy Spirit. God is not looking for "born-again" individuals meeting in a place called a Church. He is now raising up a people who love and accept each other and are seen to be "His Redeemed Community". He is requiring a people joined together in loving, caring relationships. He wants people who relate on a basis of unconditional love and acceptance, while they work together until, with mutual support and encouragement, they are able to bring their behaviour or their practical living into line with the Word of God. Our vision is to develop a loving, caring environment where people's hurts and wounds can be healed, where broken lives, families and marriages can be healed and/or restored; where lonely, rejected people can find love, acceptance and companionship. Jesus Christ is not part of the problem he is part of the solution and our vision is that this Fellowship be a vehicle through whom He can meet the needs of our Society in a Real, Personal and Practical way. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Across the Street - Around the World - People Reaching and Loving People. At Christian Family Fellowship we recognise that there is people within our Community that need a helping hand from time to time as much as their is people all over the world in the same or worse situations.  We at Christian Family Fellowship endeavour to give a helping hand wherever possible, whether it is to our neighbour, or to the Missionaries Abroad, we have a responsibility to minister to the hungry and the needy. Our works Include; Food parcels are distributed from time to time and this ministry will be extended to other areas as we develop. We will give practical help to widows, fatherless and other needy groups in our community wherever possible. Owing to the fact that 60% of all families are now single parent families we envision developing specialised ministry to meet the needs of Single Parent Families and have already taken some steps to this end. We envision having households under competent leaders (married couples preferably) to provide for the special needs of the homeless and dysfunctional people in our Society irrespective of race, creed or colour. We envisage developing a Child Care Centre as a service to our Community. We envision developing courses, which will enhance the job prospects of young people in our community covering such things as self-esteem, financial budgeting, computer courses etc. We also anticipate providing a course to teach English to Multi-Cultural groups in our community. Our purpose is that each person desiring employment is fully employed. Recognising the importance of the written word we will both produce and publish books and training courses and other material and develop a Christian Bookshop to make these and other publications available to our Fellowship and the public. We will also develop materials in other languages for free or cheap distribution on mission fields. One of Pastor Budge's books is already translated into Indonesian and distributed to pastors in that country. Recognising the importance of hearing the word repeatedly, we will produce Audio,CD's and Video Tapes. We plan to hold open air Youth Concerts as an outreach to the youth of this area. GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WORK GROWTH BY TRAINING The latest statistics indicate that 80% of all church growth is due to Christians transferring or being enticed from one church to another. This does not increase the Kingdom of God. Our vision is that we will grow by training and inspiring our people to reach their neighbours and the community by means of one to one soul winning. Courses will be provided to equip Christians for this ministry. We will reach out in love and counselling to bring hurting, wounded, lonely, rejected and dysfunctional people to wholeness, release and restoration. We desire to see them functioning as whole, loved and responsible members of the community. TENT EVANGELISM We also envisage having a tent for Tent Outreach Evangelism and we have an opportunity to obtain such a tent at a very reasonable price, as the money becomes available. RADIO AND TV MINISTRY Since Pastor Budge already does extensive Radio and TV ministry when he goes Overseas, we envision providing teaching programs to be made available in other countries. We will also have a radio program in our own country, as the financial resources become available. CHURCH GOVERNMENT As the work develops and men and women demonstrate an anointing on their lives to carry out the Offices of Elders and Deacons, without title or recognition, we will then recognise that anointing and their ministry by appointing them to these Offices with laying on of hands. Training will be given and they will be chosen on the basis that they demonstrate in their lives a spirit of servant hood, a shepherd heart for people as well as faithfulness and loyalty, to Christ, the oversight and the work of God. PRAYER AND INTERCESSION Recognising Christ's command to "Pray Without Ceasing" we will major on the ministry of prayer and fasting. Opportunity will be given for those with a burden for intercession to operate as Intercessory Prayer Groups.
